Winner of my hypothetical pairings poll.  Ysrael/Remi.I always spend so much time making sure I photograph dolls in a way that seems in character to me, but then I miss out on getting to do interaction like this. Critiques
My favorite part of the photo is how in focuse Remi's necklace is. It draws the eye to the center of the photo, then allows it to spread out and look at everything more closely. Also, I love the lighting. Everything touched by the back lighting seems more blurred, and the shadowed parts are sharper and more clear. But the content completely erases any sinister feeling, and the pose completely conveys a wonderful mood for the photo. Not necessarily hesitant, but that tenseness is there, more like the sentence before the last in the end of a book chapter, that feeling of anticipation for what is coming, but not a crazy sort of excitement.
I also like that Yael, who's skin is darker, is in the forefront of the photo. it looks wonderful with the lighting hitting Remi's lighter skin. Like Remi is blending with the light in the back, and Yael with the shadows in the front. But then in the background, Yael's almost completely lined in white, while Remi is nearly all shadow.
Excellent job.
I also rarely see people put their characters like this for the sake of doing so, for the sake of photographing the interaction. I actually really like it.
